This is a photo that my youngest brother (in the picture) had of the family home when we still lived in it. I would say that it was late '70's vintage.
This is the photo that I took this week of the house. The changes are obvious.
Is this taken from the same side? The bottom one from further left? I see new windows and new paint, and a deck porch. Lovely to see the place well cared for.
@Roadkill_Spatula - Both are front views of the house. You are right the second is a little further to the left. The new owners winterized the front porch and made it a part of the house then built a deck in front. My parents put on the siding before they moved out.
I think I prefer the old window layout better, what do you think?
@WildWomanOfTheWest - The old window layout is more aesthetic. The new windows are possibly more energy efficient.
@WildWomanOfTheWest - The new window layout is because they insulated the front porch and put in larger windows. The porch was opened up into the rest of the house. I actually like what they did to that room.
