  • Here are your snow pictures, Donna.

It has been snowing here since last Thursday.  Not really hard all the time but consistantly.  Right now it is really snowing hard, possibly the hardest that it has the whole time.

This is a picture taken standing at the front of my house looking across the road.  On a clear day I can see the mile to state route 5 across that field.  When I took that picture I could barely discern those two round bale feeders that stand in the pasture.

This was taken standing at the back of my house.  Usually I can see across the valley, across the pasture, into the woods on the other side.  When I took that picture you couldn't even tell that there is a pasture across there let alone a valley or woods beyond.  Now the weather forecasters are talking about another 3-6 inches tonight and more heavier snow on the weekend. Thank God for four-wheel drive and plenty of fire wood.

  • I think you meant to add my name to the title, too. The snow looks beautiful! I hope we get some worthwhile snowfall by Christmas.

  • @whteroses - From now on I will add your name to all the snow that we get and you are welcome to it.  It is still falling as we speak.  I am however, learning not to grumble about it since I know that there are people out there who truly like it (go figure).

  • @perelandra30 - Oh my goodness, Ann, you should see me when the snow is falling! I'm like a little kid. Seriously. Maybe if I got as much snow as you all do up north, I wouldn't be quite as giddy, but just a little bit. :)

  • Wil is looking for a "new" truck.  I asked if he was looking for 4-wheel drive.  You'd have thought I'd asked him to cut off his nose!  I am going to "speak" very nicely to him when the chance arises about the fact that, yes, he can always get out the lane and up hill most of the way from here to town but there might come a time when he would not be able to get out and I would have to and I can't drive like he does so wouldn't he think it might be a good thing to at least investigate the idea of 4-wheel drive at our age.  I don't think he is ever going to admit to getting older and not being as able to do everything like he did when he was 30.

  • Thank you so very much -- I am giddy at the pictures....we are in the mid to upper 70's so this makes me feel a little more Christmasy.

Blessings to you and your wood splitters.  Stay safe and warm.
