  • I like them…..they are so colorful and cheerful.

  • I really really really like those colors.

  • What size are your blocks and what size did you cut your geese and the white fabric?

  • @TheSunnyC - the white fabric was 11″ square and the goose fabric was 9 1/2″ square.  The finished blocks are 4×8.

I layer up the white and the colored fabric wrong sides together.  Draw a diagonal line and sew 1/4 inch on either side of the line.  Then cut on the drawn line.  Press them open.  Layer up the resulting blocks with the white against the color and draw another diagonal line through the white and the color.  Sew 1/4 inch on either side of the line.  Use the 4×8 flying geese ruler from Quilt in a Day to cut them apart.  Lay the green triangle onto the stitching lines with the 1/4 inch line above where the stitching lines intersect.  Then trim all the way around the ruler.

The complete directions with yardage and everything are in the Quilt in a Day Flying Geese book.

  • Hmm, that looks like an MK quilt.

  • @P_Obrien - Lots of color!!!! I think one of them will go to your new cousin.
