Personally, not a fan of snow. For me, snow = travel problems = bookings postponed = no income. But it can be pretty, like in your photos.
@ideaguy - I’m with you. Snow for me is a love/hate thing. If my car isn’t involved than it is beautiful. I love to sit in my workroom and watch it falling and covering up the mud that we have otherwise. I enjoy listening to the neighbors kids out playing in it. I enjoy sledding and skating myself, all of which we can do right here and don’t have to drive to enjoy those things. Give me my car keys and tell me I have to go somewhere and that’s when the hate comes in. Even though I have a four wheel drive I don’t like snow covered roads and I don’t like other drivers who are either over confident or don’t seem to know that you must adjust your driving to the conditions. But it is a thing that can become very sanctifying if one offers it up to God and keeps quiet about the trials. So there you have it. Another means of grace.
Ugh. Looks like you are receiving the same weather as we are in SW Michigan. We’re at a foot and counting.
@HumbleWalk - Keep it!!!! it is sunny today and this is the first time in over a week. I have to go out to church in a few minutes and I’d like it to stay nice until I come home again. Then it can snow again until I have to go out again tomorrow. I read your post about snow and I couldn’t agree more, and I don’t even have to shovel the stuff, just drive in it.
It looks so beautiful! And I’m so glad to be down here instead of there!
@MlleRobillard - rub it in deerie, rub it in. Actually I am in now from confession and so it can do whatever out and I don’t care.
We had some snow over where I live in England about a week ago. It was fantastic but it wasn’t very thick so it only lasted about three days. I wish it’d snow again…it’s definately cold enough!! lol X)
And your pictures are beautiful. Is that outside your house? The view is lovely.
@brokenenemy - they are indeed outside my home. we own the 300 acres that surround our house.
@perelandra30 - Wow!! We own the tiny garden out front XD
@brokenenemy - this used to be a working dairy farm until we had a barn fire in 2007 and lost three barn and most of our herd. Now my husband works off farm and we rent out 200 acres to two other farmers. The only animals left are my pigs and my daughters 5 heifers. Sometimes it seems like a lonely place after being a very busy one.
