If it is a marshmallow world in the winter what is it in the fall?
This is what I woke up to this morning. Granted not as much snow as my daughter got just 20 miles south of here but enough to cover the ground pretty well. And the wind is blowing which is going to make going out this morning an adventure. I heard the snowplow or the sander, I don’t know which, go through about 4:00. It is nice to have a son who works for the town highway department.
Well, in the immortal words of the song “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…..” after we get home from Mass this morning I plan on sewing all day long until Holy Hour at 4:00 and Matthew has schoolwork to do so we can just stoke up the fire and stay inside. No laundry to do and no housework either. Supper is shake and bake pork steaks mommy style with mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and a big salad. Quick and easy to prepare so I have the whole day ahead of me to finish my projects.

Have a nice day. I have to go out twice for classes, though I think I won’t go skating.
My oldest brother just called to tell me he had been up most of the night working with the plow guys. He should be glad he isn’t here. The sanders and plows have been running since nine O’clock yesterday morning.
He called me to tell me he is going to bed. He sounded very tired. I think I will make him something very special and hot for supper. Did you get the message about the pig?
Not being as far north as you all, people down here would be shocked to get snow this early, even the little bit you got last night. But I’m still jealous the your snow. I swear I must still be a kid at heart because once there’s a few inches of snow on the ground, I’m pining to get out and play! It sounds like you’ll have a wonderful day.
@whteroses - If I could ship it to you it would be there in a New York minute. I am a kid at heart but an old one at that complete with stiff joints and an aversion to the cold. I live outdoors most of the year but the cold is about the only thing that is able to drive even me inside. It is a nice day. Matthew and I are taking it easy for a change. I don’t know how my beloved will feel about all this laziness but it just seems to be the thing to do today.
Cool! Stay frosty!
@P_Obrien - No problem. Bet you can’t guess what it is doing out there right now. Ian just left to go get some sleep so that he will be chipper naturally when they call him out again in the middle of the night. I don’t like the idea of him existing on coffee and Monster. He took the food I made with him too. I wonder how much of it will be left for the other guys.
I’m enjoying it in my heart for you.
