He’s Over There
Adam just called. He has arrived in the big sandbox called Iraq. A year ago he volunteered for duty that would take him to Iraq. He has trained on some weapon. If I sound not quite clear about what my son is going to be doing that’s because I am. I really don’t want to know what he is going to be doing. I don’t have to know to pray for him. Anyway he is over there now. He’s wearing the uniform of the United States Army since I guess he will be working for them instead of the Navy. His dad and I are very proud of all of our sons who are serving in the military.

Blessings on you and your son (sons?) that are protecting our nation. RYC: I’m always curious to know where my readers are from. Think it is fun to know how wide spread we all are and yet, we all pray for the same things and work for our family and home. We all lead such varied lives with many different interests and yet, in so many ways, we are all the same.
I can’t help but be very proud of your young men. Praying for them too. Proud of you too…A praying mother, obviously you and your husband are wonderful parents. Love, Amelia
I have the complete site on a comment now on my pulse. Those pulses are sure finicky! ; )
A prayer going up for your son and a prayer going up for peace of mind for you…God bless…
@TheSunnyC - I have four sons in the military so thank you for the blessings, they are certainly that. Thank you also for your interest. You are correct in that you do indeed pray for the same things and work for the same things. I think that many of us in this country have lost sight of just how similar we all are.
@thats_italian - thanks for your vote of confidence. I count on your prayers since I know what a good mom and person that you are. You have been such a blessing to me since we have met. I thank God for your friendship. Hope your mom is well and hanging in there.
@perelandra30 - I feel the same way towards you too. I will sure remember your precious sons and daughter in my prayers and I covet your prayers greatly as well. I haven’t heard anything from any results returning, I’m praying no news is good news. Mother is scheduled for a mammogram Thurs. and a talk with the doctor Fr. I’ll be with her on Friday, so pray for us both! Pray for the doctor too, that she will be kind and we’ll have favor with her. : ) Love, Amelia
That’s so cool because my husband helps design those weapons!
God be with your son and all those who are fighting under our country’s flag. And may God bless you especially for raising up such an honorable young man!
Oh I just read your other comment — four sons in the military! Wow! That’s amazing. THANK YOU to your whole family!!!
@thats_italian - I will definitely keep both of you in my prayers and the dr as well. Friday I have a consult with my back specialist so I will offer my own unknown up for your mother. May they both be inspired to be most Christ-like as they render their diagnosis for both of us and their courses of treatment. May we also have the patience and guidance of the saints in carrying out our parts of whatever is to come.
@nettieheidmann - You are most welcome. Thank you for your prayers and your good wishes. You can’t know how the help and sustain in the times when I don’t know what is going on with my soldiers and sailor.
Cool. About time he joined the party.
@P_Obrien - What party he’s over there without the rest of you guys?
@perelandra30 - I’ll be sure to pray for you too…So thankful we can pray one for another. (((hugs)))
@perelandra30 - Not my fault he showed up late. I’m doing my best to get back over, but in my new capacity it won’t be for a while.
