  • The makings of my undoing or the next child prodigy

you choose.  Often when she sits down to the piano to practice MK takes Layn up on her lap and lets him have his chance to “play.”  Now that he has done this so much he can’t pass the piano without begging to get up and pound on the keys for a few minutes.  I don’t know if this portends great talent or my being locked up in a mental institution.  Time will tell.

  • I pretty much gave up playing piano after I had kids.  They always wanted to play too.

  • @ata_grandma - If that were a good piano I would forbid it but it was a used one that won’t be tuned so he is allowed to play.  When she gets a new one there will be trouble I think. We will have to leave the bad one here and put the new one in our new house. I just like to see the two of them happy.

  • It will be torture until he learns to read music and then it will be wonderful
