The view out my front window.
This is the view from my front window. This is how the world has looked all day and, I fear, will look all evening and night. The wind is starting to kick up. Ian has been at the town barn with the plow crews since the wee hours and will be there for many more hours to come. Melissa took food up earlier today when the roads were clearer. Now it is time for all of us to hunker down and ride this one out. Not hard for a northerner. There is plenty of wood in the basement, food in the larder, videos on the shelf, and games in the cupboard. Let old man winter blow for he shan’t blow us away.

Jealous am I….I’d trade you for my view of mild weather, city streets and a bit of smog
Sounds incredibly cozy! Since I just had another school postpone a scheduled performance, I’m heartily sick of winter. But I wouldn’t mind a game of Scrabble and some hot cocoa if you were up for it.
@ideaguy - I’m good to go. But I must warn you I’m ruthless at Scrabble and hard to beat!!!!
Though I am ready for spring for my kids’ sake, I find your view beautiful! And very good movie choice – that’s my favorite version!
@whteroses - Spring cannot come soon enough for this house!!!!! I do agree the view is beautiful but it does kind of get old fast. When the kids get older then winter will be something that they like and they cannot understand why the grown-ups don’t like it.
