Sunday Dinner For A Special Son
Tomorrow is the feast of the Holy Archangels and it Ians feast day. His middle name is Michael after Michael the Archangel who drove the demons out of heaven into hell. So today I am making a special dinner for him. We are having roast beef, long grain and wild rice, corn, peas and carrots, and peach cobbler and vanilla frozen yogurt for dessert. It is always great for a mother to spoil one of her children.

Best wishes to Ian on his Name Day, sounds like a wonderful dinner! My kitchen smells wonderful right now, and my mouth is watering… Guests better get here soon!
When I was a little girl Maman would make me something like a King Cake on October first, only she’d use a little plaster statue of St Therese (my middle name is Fleur), and she’d make sure I got it in my slice of the cake. Since Maman was named Therese, I’d always give the statue back to her, and we BOTH got to be princesses for the day.
RYC: A BIG hug to you, my sister, and thanks for sharing stories with me.
