Here’s The Proof
Here are the pictures of Jason being sworn into the Army. Just in case someone thinks that I exaggerate or that I am a glutton for punishment. He really did it.
Believe me when I say that I have done nothing to encourage any of my boys to make this decision. But I can say that once it is made I have been the one to cheer them on to be the best that they can be, to steal an old Army slogan, while they are wearing the uniform. Of course I have done that since they were born, why change now.
Looking on the bright side of things, at least he will finally get that ridiculous hair all cut off and shave the facial hair off too. Not that I don’t like a beard and mustache but not on my sons.

If God had intended for men to shave he would not have invented beards in the first place. It is one of the major indignities of our culture, One that Jason will have ample opportunity to enjoy now.
Hate to bug you here. My grandmother needs a special prayer. She broke her shoulder. She is 94 and is about a 4 hour drive from where I live.
Oh my. They are so blessed to have you there being supportive of whatever they do.
I have to agree with you about the facial hair thing; my dad has a mustache, and there are some guys that really are improved with whiskers, but clean cut almost always looks nice.
I read that you all are under the weather- I hope that you are feeling better soon! Blessings, ~Marianna
Thank you so very much for your precious words of encouragement and prayer…. that is so sweet of you. I appreciate it so very much! What a blessing you are!
I know it must be so hard for you to give up your sons to risk their lives for their country. But I appreciate it so much!! Our nation is free because of young men like your sons. Thanks for being a mom who’s raised children who make a difference… despite whatever the cost may be.
Blessings,
Lea
You are such a good mom! I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again! You’re a goooooood mom!!! And those are some great kids too. : ) God is good.
And missy….I heard from the xanga grapevine…(your comment on your son’s blog) that you have pneumonia? You better take care of yourself! I’m praying for you and your children. That must be extremely difficult going in and out of the docs office plus the ER at that. God give you strength where needed and healing in the name of Jesus for each and everyone of you.
HUGE HUGS. And thank you for the sweet and uplifting comments on my pulse. You are so sweet, bless your heart, a true encourager. : )
With love and appreciation, ~Amelia
Pneumonia?! Oh my goodness! I wish I were closer to help you out with anything and everything!!! I’ll say lots of prayers for you and offer up anything I can.
God bless. I hope you and your kids feel better soon.
In other news, I remembered a birthday before I was reminded. Tell Jason I said Happy Birthday.
