This Dance is For the Cowboy and the Mrs.
For awhile now Old Hat and the Mrs. have been doing a lot of dancing. Dancing to encourage each other. They have not complained but while they have ridden the wild bull of their medical problems they have encouraged the rest of us and lifted the spirits of those of us who have been need.
So, tonight, my husband and I will dance a dance for the Cowboy and his Mrs. I encourage anyone else out there who has been lifted up or encouraged or just plain made to smile by reading Old Hat to put on something slow and sweet and sway to the beat in honor of the love that this couple shares and have shared with the rest of us so generously.
God bless you Old Hat and Mrs. Hat. May He make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

PS “Friendly Persuasion” is one of my favorite movies. I think I watched it in the theater 5 times when it was new, and I didn’t usually go to movies all that often.
