This Is My Tomboy?
We recently visited some friends. While there Mary-Kate and Arie went off giggling to “dress-up”. This is what we saw when they came back. My tomboy daughter was all dressed up like a southern belle.
I look at these pictures and it’s hard to see my little girl in her blue jeans chasing the dog and riding horses and milking cows.
This is the girl who will get right in the pig pen and smell like one of them and never make a sound about all the manure and goo that gets all over her. She has always had to keep up with her brothers and do what they did.
I guess she can be a lady. What do you think big brother?

Hmmmm.
Weird.
She is definitely a well-rounded individual, cleaning out pigpens one day, dressing in a whatever that is the next. She’s cool.
She looks very pretty, But doesn’t mind working hard. I am proud to be her brother.
Lupus
She looks so cute!
Sorry, I clicked “submit” before I meant to.
I am very much looking forward to your recipes! Italian food is the best!!! My grandmother is Italian and eating at her house it always amazing.
Thanks so much for your comments and prayers. I never thought I would have to defend my parenting to my own parents. They taught me to be level-headed and reasonable, so when I think I am doing just that and they get all sideways about it, it’s confusing. I need to focus on pleasing God first and foremost, but I really care about what my parents think.
My mom called me and gave me funeral stats and then said “I don’t care what you think, we’re taking him to the cabin and scattering him with Fr. Conroy,” (my godfather and Cracker Jack’s best friend). She knows the Church objects to the practice, but I think sentimentality is getting the best of her. I’m not going to say anything because it isn’t my place. I’m just glad that if there are repercussions for the practice, they aren’t my grandfather’s to suffer.
I’m rambling. I’m sorry. This is the closest person I have had die, so I’m not sure how to go about handling it. I feel all topsy-turvey and uncontrollably social. Nobody is safe!
What a beauty.
